During the February 4 special episode of tvN’s “Goblin,” narrators Lee Dong Wook (Grim Reaper) and Yoo In Na (Sunny) talked about their on-screen romance, with the former expressing regrets at how their love story had gone.
He said, “I didn’t get to date Sunny properly. I was thinking of how it would turn out if I could have shown a bit more of a cute and lovey-dovey image.”
Yoo In Na agreed, saying, “There wasn’t much of a sweet dating process.”
Lee Dong Wook then said, “Even so, the viewers gave us a lot of love and support, so I’m thankful for that.” He added, “I think I did well thanks to [Yoo In Na.]”
The couple may not have had much of a cute love story, but the nickname that Korean fans gave them is extremely adorable: Peach Couple. It doesn’t just refer to the scene where Sunny swept off the Grim Reaper’s hat with a peach blossom branch that revealed him to her. The Korean pronunciation of the English word “peach” is “pi chi,” from pizza and chicken. The latter comes from Sunny’s occupation as a chicken shop owner, while the former comes from Lee Dong Wook’s Grim Reaper hat, which looks like the hat in Pizza Hut’s logo. What an ingenious couple name!
