A little help from a friend, and a clever tactic, can change the fate of even the (arguably) unluckiest member of “Running Man”!
Lee Kwang Soo was the featured member of the show’s February 26 broadcast, which featured the cast having to go on more late night, food-centric missions.
In between missions, the actor was given the chance to call one of his friends, with the catch that the “Running Man” members had to go wherever they were told, even if was on the opposite side of Seoul.
While the other cast members were resigned to the fact that it was unlikely anyone would pick up right away since it was 3 a.m. KST in the morning, Lee Kwang Soo suddenly said, “I think Park Bo Young should still be awake.”
In order to ensure their success, he cleverly texted her first to instruct her on what to say. Since the cast members were tasked with eating udon noodles, Lee Kwang Soo sent her a message asking her to direct them to Mapo District, which was close by to their current location.
Thankfully, Park Bo Young picked up, and explained that she was still awake because she was at Paju in Gyeonggi Province, supposedly filming for “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” (according to the show’s resident giraffe). Immediately, Lee Kwang Soo asked, if she had seen his message, and then insisted she had to when Park Bo Young replied she hadn’t.
With no time left, he carefully started to ask where they should go to eat udon noodles when Park Bo Young suddenly shouted just in the nick of time, “Udon is [best in] Mapo District!”
The cast members broke out into cheers at their success, and happily thanked the actress for all her help.
