With one day left before their comeback, GFRIEND proves that they’re a girl group still on the rise.
According to their agency, Source Music, “GFRIEND’s fourth mini-album ‘The Awakening’ became available for sale on February 27 and has now surpassed 100,000 pre-orders.”
GFRIEND’s last comeback, their first studio album “LOL,” achieved 60,000 pre-orders, which means the new album broke through their previous record by a large margin (66 percent).
GFRIEND is going for a slightly fiercer concept for “The Awakening,” complete with a funky disco-rock title track “Fingertip” and their trademark synchronized choreography. “Fingertip” is produced by Lee Gi and Yong Bae.
“The Awakening” will be released on March 6 KST.
