K.A.R.D Proves Their Global Popularity By Topping iTunes K-Pop Charts In 13 Countries With “Rumor”

Despite not having made their official debut yet, K.A.R.D recently proved their status as a global idol group yet again by topping the iTunes Charts in 13 countries.

The co-ed group’s third project “Rumor” was released on April 24 and by the morning of April 25, it had come in at first place on the iTunes K-pop Charts in the U.S., Argentina, Brazil, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, El Salvador, Chile, New Zealand, Australia, and Bolivia.

The group also placed in the upper rankings on the main iTunes Charts in the U.S., as well as in various countries in Southeast Asia and Europe. The official music video for “Rumor” has hit over 1.8 million views on YouTube in less than a day (current statistics at 11:30 p.m. KST, April 25 are approximately 2.36 million views). The views for the video are increasing at a much faster rate than for “Oh NaNa” and “Don’t Recall.”

“Rumor” is a dancehall EDM track that combines the members’s unique vocals and a performance with a Jamaican influence. The track is receiving love from all over the world, and also marks the beginning of K.A.R.D’s activities as honorary ambassadors for LG Electronics’s G6 smartphone.

Congratulations to K.A.R.D on the achievement!
