“Fight My Way”
The director of “Snowy Road” and screenwriter of “Baek Hee Has Returned” have joined hands to create “Fight My Way.”
Deviating from the recently popular sci-fi, thriller, and action dramas, “Fight My Way” tells the ordinary story of today’s youth. Choi Ae Ra (Kim Ji Won) and Go Dong Man (Park Seo Joon) are the main characters, and while they don’t have much, they have the perseverance to ambitiously head straight into the world to achieve their dreams. An adorable romance will also unfold between the two childhood friends who constantly bicker but actually really care about one another.
“Fight My Way” airs every Monday and Tuesday. Watch the latest episode at Viki!
Lee Si Young plays Jo Soo Ji, a former detective seeking revenge after the death of her daughter, while Kim Young Kwang plays the secretive and ambitious prosecutor Jang Do Han. Also starring in the drama are Kim Tae Hoon, Kim Seul Gi, and SHINee’s Key. Together, they will go against the privileged class and punish those who are corrupt.
Producer Son Hyung Suk explained that the drama will show a different kind of revenge from the kind viewers are accustomed to seeing in dramas. He said, “They will make the criminals’ sins surface naturally and punish them indirectly by hacking or using CCTV cameras.”
tvN’s drama game has been weak after “Goblin.” Their dramas have not been performing very well, but tvN aims to regain their reputation as a strong drama channel with “Circle.”
“Circle” is a sci-fi drama starring Yeo Jin Goo, Kim Kang Woo, Gong Seung Yeon, Highlight’s Lee Gi Kwang, and An Woo Yeon. It’s a new kind of drama that viewers are not used to seeing, as it has a “double track” format, meaning that it that takes place in two periods – 2017 and 2037. An important factor in the drama’s performance will lie in how well viewers are able to understand this new kind of drama. Regarding this, producer Min Jin Ki expressed, “This drama is about humanism and centers around two brothers and the characters surrounding them. We are paying careful attention to explanatory features and mise en scène to make sure our viewers are able to focus on the drama.”
