Yeo Hwan Woong, former “Produce 101 Season 2” trainee from RBW Entertainment, revealed some new things about himself at an interview with news outlet Ilgan Sports.
Yeo Hwan Woong had been famous among idol trainees even before he appeared on “Produce 101 Season 2.” He graduated from Seoul School of Performing Arts, and his agency friend Son Dong Myung (also a former “Produce 101 Season 2” trainee) explained, “He was famous from the moment he entered high school. He was well-known for being a really good dancer. He was basically the best dancer at school.” At this, Yeo Hwan Woong smiled shyly and said, “I’m happy the news was spread naturally.” He also revealed that he was always No.1 in his class.
He’s a trainee with amazing skills, but he was better known on “Produce 101 Season 2” for his interesting reactions. He remarked, “I’m happy I was given screen time for that, but I feel a bit regretful.”
The RBW trainees are always there to help each other out. Lee Gun Hee (another RBW trainee from “Produce 101 Season 2”) helped Yeo Hwan Woong with his vocals, while Yeo Hwan Woong helped Lee Gun Hee with his dancing. He said, “I wanted at least one of us to do well. I’m glad that Lee Gun Hee was able to show his talent and took first place [in the vocal evaluations]. I was really proud of him.”
Everyone on the show grew more attractive with every passing episode. Yeo Hwan Woong explained why this was the case, saying, “We learned about the angles that make our faces look the best, so at the final live performance of ‘Pick Me,’ everyone was a professional. I was surprised because in the beginning, we all looked like babies, but by the end, we all looked ready to debut. We were doing the same dance to the same song, but [the final performance] had a sexy feeling.”
Asked to name the trainee who grew the most during the show, he picked Lee Woo Jin. Before the show began, Lee Woo Jin was smaller than Yeo Hwan Woong, but at the live broadcast, Lee Woo Jin had become taller than him.
Lastly, Yeo Hwan Woong revealed that he doesn’t regret appearing on the show. He was happy to have met new friends and to have made himself known to the public. When he makes his official debut, he hopes to hold a fan meeting.
