“Music Core” And “Inkigayo” Respond To Rumored Restrictions Against Wanna One

“Music Core” and “Inkigayo” have responded to reports that Wanna One won’t be appearing on the programs.

On August 10, a source from MBC’s “Music Core” commented, “It is not true that Wanna One’s appearance has been canceled. Wanna One just won’t be able to appear on this week’s episode due to their busy schedule.”

The source added, “Wanna One’s album was released on August 7. Their scores which are calculated this week will be reflected in next week’s chart. We are continuously discussing with them for next week’s schedule.”

A representative from SBS also responded, “We do not have casting restrictions. As Wanna One appeared on ‘Night of Real Entertainment,’ their appearance on ‘Inkigayo’ is also open. However, this week’s cast has not been finalized yet. It will be by Friday.”

Previously, I.O.I from the first season of “Produce 101” never appeared on “Music Core” and “Inkigayo” due to alleged restrictions from the broadcast stations.

Wanna One will debut on August 10 via “M!Countdown” but will not be appearing on “Music Bank” for the next two weeks due to the program airing pre-recorded world tour episodes.
