gugudan’s Mina may be starring in her first leading drama role!
On August 22, it was reported that she has been cast as the main character of tvN’s upcoming one-act drama “The History of Walking Upright” (literal translation).
In response, her agency Jellyfish Entertainment commented that she is considering the offer. If she accepts it, this will be Mina’s second acting project after appearing as Han Ye Seul‘s younger counterpart in MBC’s upcoming drama “20th Century Boys and Girls.”
The character she has been cast for is Im Ga Jung, an unruly high school student that lives in a small town with her father and younger sister. She appears to be a typical student, but she has a superpower that no one knows about. She doesn’t have a strong desire to use her power until she meets the guy that she has been secretly crushing on.
“The History of Walking Upright” is one of 10 one-act dramas that tvN is planning to begin airing in December. Previously, it was revealed that Shinhwa’s Kim Dong Wan will be starring as the lead of “Picnic Day,” another of tvN’s one-act dramas.
