Kang Ina, played by Ryu Hwayoung, made a strong impression despite her short time on screen during “Age of Youth 2.”
In the September 23 episode of JTBC’s “Age of Youth 2,” Kang Ina unexpectedly visited the share house Belle Epoque and encouraged Jung Ye Eun (played by Han Seung Yeon), who seemed to be in distress. She even provided an important clue in solving the pink letter mystery, leaving a strong impression on the viewers.
Kang Ina first appeared holding a snack. She started yelling at Jung Ye Eun, who was depressed due to her friend Han You Kyung’s betrayal. “And you let her go? Where does she live? I’ll go and pull her hair out,” said Kang Ina, frustrated. When the housemates defended Han You Kyung, Kang Ina snapped, “Why is she messing with Ye Eun. And whose side are you on? Why’re you defending her friend?”
When Kang Ina seemed as if she would walk up to Han You Kyung’s house any moment, Jung Ye Eun calmed down and told her although she honestly appreciated Kang Ina’s actions, she will take care of it herself. Kang Ina lived up to her nickname “Ye Eun’s mom,” which was given to her a year ago when she worried about Jung Ye Eun all the time despite her constant conflicts with her.
Kang Ina also met Jo Eun (played by Choi Ara) for the first time in high tensions and provided a big clue in finding out who sent the pink letter. The viewers welcomed her into the scene, commenting, “I screamed the moment I saw Kang Ina on Belle Epoque steps,” and “Please visit more often, Kang Ina.”
The staff stated that Ryu Hwayoung, whom a lot of people were sad to see leave the share house in the first episode, made a strong comeback last night. “Please watch the last four episodes attentively to see if Kang Ina appears again,” said the staff.
“Age of Youth” airs every Friday and Saturday at 11:00 p.m. KST.
