A teaser has been released for former I.O.I member Kim Sohye’s very first television drama “Kang Duk Soon’s Love History” (literal title).
Kim Sohye plays Kang Duk Soon, a naive country girl who moves to Gyeongseong Province in search of her crush Kim Suk Sam (Oh Seung Yoon). While searching for him, she accidentally gets caught up in an independence movement and grows through her experiences in it.
In the teaser, Kim Suk Sam tells Kang Duk Soon, “I made a determination to sacrifice my life for the independence of our country. When I go to Gyeongseong Province this time, I’m not going to come back.”
Kang Duk Soon then ends up in Gyeongseong Province. She encourages herself, saying, “I have his address, so I’ll find him in no time.” However, things start going downhill from there.
Kang Duk Soon goes into a tavern and naively claims out loud, “I’m looking for the place where the national independence youth is.” As soon as those words come out of her mouth, everyone looks at her, and with one look and nod from the owner (Kim Yeo Jin), she’s kicked out of there. The owner tells her, “I’ll give you money if you don’t have enough. Instead, don’t ever come back here again.”
It seems like Kang Duk Soon is going to stay though because she wants to learn how to read. During her stay, she finds all kinds of suspicious things, such as a secret basement and some suspicious tavern workers.
