Following their win, they appeared on SBS Power FM’s “Lee Guk Joo‘s Youngstreet” as guests. During the radio show, they talked about their reactions to their first win and the promises they made a long time ago to fulfill if they ever won first place.
Leader JR said, “I couldn’t speak properly. It was hard to stand because my legs felt weak. I’m really thankful to our fans who cheered for us. It’s because of them I was able to be so happy, and I really want to tell them thank you.”
Baekho admitted, “I was really taken aback. Leader JR took the microphone and gave us the look that he couldn’t think of anything. We couldn’t think of anything either, so we couldn’t take it from him.” To that, JR added, “My mind was blank, too, so if there was a member who was calm and collected, I thought he could [say the speech], so I asked if they could do it, but they said they couldn’t.”
To the fans who were wondering why Aron had been staring at the floor the entire time, Aron explained, “I almost sobbed [right there].”
Through the message board of the radio show, their fans referred to JR’s promise to wear a blond wig and Ren’s promise to go on a picnic with the fans at Yeouinaru.
JR responded, “It’s a promise I made about three years ago. If there’s a wig, I’ll definitely wear it.” He vowed to fulfill his promise and even wore a wig on the spot.
Ren talked about his own promise, saying, “I made this promise about three to four years ago. I said that if we win first place, we’ll take kimbap [seaweed rice rolls] and have a picnic at Yeouinaru. I’ll have to think about that.”
Congratulations again to NU’EST W!
