According to data released on November 2, GOT7’s latest album “7 for 7” has topped the Gaon album sales chart for the 43rd week of 2017.

“7 for 7” was released on October 10 and is GOT7’s first group album in seven months since March’s “Flight Log: Arrival.” The members had been greeting fans over the months with individual and unit group activities, and their fans’ excitement at seeing GOT7 back as a group can be felt by the fact that they have topped Gaon’s weekly album charts.

Their title track “You Are” was well-received, topping domestic online music charts such as Genie, Naver Music, and Mnet. The group also came in at number one on the iTunes album charts in seventeen countries including Brazil, Finland, Hong Kong, and Mexico, proving their status as global idols.

“You Are” is a special track for GOT7 and their fans as it was written by JB and is a contemporary pop track with a future sound that conveys a message of hope. JB is the first member to work on the title track of a GOT7 album, and the other members also had a hand in creating all of the tracks that are included in “7 for 7,” reflecting their unending desire to grow as musicians.
