While the first three might be a little hard to achieve, creating that tasty and unattainable Korean food in your own home isn’t impossible: you just need a kitchen and the ability to not burn your ingredients more than 50 percent of the time.
Bibimbap is generally one of the most well-known Korean foods; a mashup of rice with vegetables like spinach, bean sprouts, carrots, and whatever else you want, topped with an egg. Bibimbap is known for being a deliciously tasting comfort food you can fill up on that’s also healthy. It can be eaten with or without meat, and the ingredients that go into making the bibimbap are pretty flexible. Feel free to customize it however you want and experiment with different ingredients to see what you like best! One suggestion that’s fun to try when making bibimbap is to organize the food you put in the bowl before stirring it up: the colorful array of vegetables is pretty and even more mouthwatering to look at.

If you’ve ever seen cops in a crime drama sitting gruffly around a table and discussing the latest clues while they stir around a bowl of red soup, you might have gotten a glimpse of the tasty kimchi stew. It’s a very delicious and savory meal that is also quite spicy, so check how much you can handle spicy foods before you proceed. Kimchi stew, or kimchi chiggae, is usually made out of kimchi, onions, and some sort of meat.
Any fan of “Healer” will remember sweet and crazy Min Ja, the kick-butt, crazy-haired grandmotherly figure who watched over Seo Jung Hoo (Ji Chang Wook) and helped him with his underground dealings in between knitting and obsessively making kimbap. If you’ve seen the show, then you probably already know a good deal about the dish: kimbap is made of vegetables and rice wrapped up in seaweed and then sliced. It’s rather simple and fun to prepare with no cooking needed, so if you want to break into Korean food, this is a good way to start.
