JTBC’s idol survival program “MIXNINE” aired the rest of the performances for position battle on December 3. At the end of the broadcast, a preview for next week’s episode showed MC Noh Hong Chul saying, “It’s not over yet.”
Then, he announced that the “aces,” or highest voted contestants, of each category (vocal, rap, and dance) will receive a benefit of 2,000 points, and revealed the names and points of those who came out on top.
The top vocalists were announced first. Kim Hyo Jin, who had performed BTOB’s “It’s Okay” with his team during the first vocal battle and received a team score of 4,712 points, was announced as the male vocalist with the most points. Then, Im So Hyeon, from the team that performed Taeyeon’s “Rain” during the second vocal battle, was named as the top female vocalist.
For the rap category, Woo Jin Young was announced as the No. 1 male rapper with 1,378 points. He had performed Epik High’s “Born Hater” with his team during the first rap battle and the team won 4,712 points overall. Jeong Sara was named as the No. 1 female rapper with 1,046 points after performing “Puss” by AOA’s Jimin with her team that received 1,984 points.
Kim Hyun Jin was named the top female dancer, after performing “Starships” by Nicki Minaj with her team that won the battle with 4,738 points, while Kim Byeong Kwan was named the ace of the male dancers after receiving 1,430 individual points for his performance of Block B’s “Very Good” that received 4,294 points for the team.
The next episode will reveal which people will receive the benefit of 2,000 points out of these six aces, and will air on Sunday, December 10 at 4:50 p.m. KST. Watch the preview below!
