Super Junior’s leader Leeteuk gave a special shoutout to his members at the group’s recent concert.
Super Junior held their SUPER JUNIOR WORLD TOUR SUPER SHOW 7 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul on December 17.
While the group delivered an energetic concert, Leeteuk also took the time to read a heartfelt letter he had written. He first expressed his gratitude towards their fans for always supporting Super Junior and being with them for the past 13 years.
Leeteuk then included a message for Kyuhyun, who is currently completing his mandatory military service. Addressing Kyuhyun, who was in the audience, Leeteuk shared, “As [you] joined later after the team had already been formed, it must have been difficult to adjust among all the members. I want to thank you for staying strong despite all of that.” Kyuhyun was seen tearing up at Leeteuk’s sincere message, and made a heart in response.
Leeteuk also acknowledged the other members of Super Junior who were not able to join them on stage due to various circumstances. He read each of their names, stating, “Leader Leeteuk, my friend Heechul, are you doing well Hangeng? Yesung, Kangin, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Kibum, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun,” and revealed his deep affection for all of his members. Leeteuk explained that he wanted to say the names of all the Super Junior members, even if some individuals were no longer part of the group.
Finally, Leeteuk closed with one last thank you to their fans, declaring, “ELF, thank you and I love you always.”
Following their first concert in 2008, Super Junior has held 120 performances in 20 different regions around the world, and set a record of 1.8 million total audience members. They have created a global performance show through their unique concert brand “Super Show,” and have received a lot of love through the years.
