Kim Ji Won appeared on the Naver’s V Live talk show “Actor & Chatter” on February 1 to discuss the upcoming film “Detective K: Secret of the Bloodsucking Demon” and acting.
In the film, Kim Ji Won plays the role of Wol Young, a woman with superhuman strength who lost her memory. She joined Kim Min (Kim Myung Min) and Seo Pil (Oh Dal Soo) to form a detective trio for the third film of its series.
When asked where she gets her inspiration when studying her character, a question submitted by actress Shim Eun Kyung, Kim Ji Won answered, “I get a lot of inspiration from dramas and films I watch before filming. I like being home, so I watch dramas and movies, and have a lot of time to think.”
Ryu Seung Ryong‘s question asked what she would be if she wasn’t an actress, and Kim Ji Won said she would’ve become a kindergarten teacher. She explained, “I like little kids. I want to spend time with them and receive their good energy.”
Kim Ji Won also shared some of her concerns. She admitted, “I’m worried if the film will do well. I worried a lot about how to portray the character of Wol Young.” The actress also said, “While acting, I’m afraid of harsh criticism.”
Kim Myung Min and Oh Dal Soo were her co-stars in this upcoming film, and Kim Ji Won expressed her respect and admiration for them by describing them as “seniors I want to learn from.” The actress added, “They were attentive and came early to the set to check their positions. They also took good care of the staff and were very considerate. They gave me endless love so I’m thankful to them.”
When asked about her ideal type, Kim Ji Won revealed, “I don’t have a particular ideal type, but I would like someone who is warm and considerate of others.”
She thanked viewers for giving her over a million hearts during the broadcast and said, “As an actor, I think I need to develop my strengths as an actor. Thank you and I will work hard to show you good things.”
“Detective K: Secret of the Bloodsucking Demon” will premiere in theaters in Korea on February 8.
