Kang Ho Dong was teased by his fellow “Ask Us Anything” cast members and Song Ji Hyo on “Ask Us Anything”!
His agency later stated that he had turned down the offer because of the way the two cast members had been told unilaterally that they’d no longer be in the show. In the end, it was decided that Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook would be continuing with “Running Man,” and they remain in the show today.
When Song Ji Hyo appeared on the March 24 episode of “Ask Us Anything,” Kim Heechul brought up what had happened in the past. While talking about Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook’s dating rumors, Kim Heechul said to Kang Ho Dong, “Kim Jong Kook went through a hard time because of you.”
“It was hard for me too!” said Song Ji Hyo. Lee Soo Geun pointed out that Song Ji Hyo and Kang Ho Dong might have ended up working together, if fate had worked out that way.
Song Ji Hyo then joked with a serious expression, “It would have been good if we’d worked together, but how could you think of taking away your peers’ meal?”
With Kang Ho Dong speechless for a moment, the other cast members joined in to tease him.
Kim Heechul said, “I heard he had a condition for joining. Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook had to leave.”
Song Ji Hyo looked like she was going to keep up the act and say something else, but Kang Ho Dong jumped in.
“Yes, that’s right,” he said, with a tired tone, making everyone burst out laughing. “I don’t know anymore.” The caption read, “Tired of explaining.”
Song Ji Hyo clapped as she laughed hard over how he’d just decided to give up trying to defend himself. “I said exactly that,” continued Kang Ho Dong. “I said, ‘Get rid of those two. Remove them.'”
During the episode, Song Ji Hyo was candid with the cast as she refuted dating rumors with Kim Jong Kook, talked about her ideal type, and more.
