MONSTA X has shared some of the shows they’ve thought about appearing on!
During a press conference about the release of MONSTA X’s sixth album “The Connect,” Shownu was asked what he’d do if he received a casting offer for the reality show “Hyori’s Homestay,” since Shownu was a back-up dancer for Lee Hyori in the past.
Shownu replied that he hadn’t had the chance to say hello to her properly after being her back-up dancer. “If the offer came in, I would definitely want to do it,” he said.
Wonho added that Shownu had been sad when he hadn’t been called for the second season of the show, and Hyungwon explained that although Shownu doesn’t usually let his feelings show, he seemed to be very disappointed when he wasn’t contacted.
“If they were to call me for it, I think I would be grateful,” said Shownu with a laugh.
The other members also talked about what kind of shows they’d like to do as individual activities. Wonho said, “I hope that Jooheon will go on ‘Show Me the Money’ again. It’s a shame because he’s so good.”
He also added, “I hope that Minhyuk will be able to show different sides of himself through variety, and I personally want to be a music show MC.”
Jooheon also spoke about his interest in going back on “Show Me the Money,” after appearing on the show’s fourth season in 2015. He talked about how he’d learned a lot on the show, including about what to say and about rapping. “After that, I wrote a lot of rap verses while imagining what it would be like if I were to perform them on ‘Show Me the Money,'” he said. “I think it would be good if I performed them on the show.”
Jooheon and I.M also talked about the possibility of I.M competing on “Show Me the Money.” I.M said he hasn’t thought deeply about going on, but commented that he doesn’t think he would be eliminated right away. Jooheon said that the show had been more intensely competitive than he had expected. He added, “I think it would be good if I.M experienced it too.”
