“Master In The House” Achieves Highest Viewership Ratings Yet With Most Recent Episode

Master in the House” has achieved its highest viewership ratings yet.

According to Nielsen Korea, the April 8 episode of SBS’s “Master in the House” achieved 13.2 percent viewership in its second half, which was the highest in its time slot as well as the highest viewership ratings for the show since its broadcast. The episode reached its peak when Lee Seung Gi made his free kick, at 16.3 percent.

The episode also continued the show’s record of achieving first place in its time slot for viewers in their 20s to 40s, widely considered the target audience for broadcasting. For viewers in their 20s to 40s, the show achieved 8.3 percent, while MBC’s “Wizard of Nowhere” sat at a low 1.7 percent and KBS’s “Happy Sunday” reached 4.1 percent.

For this episode, the cast of “Master in the House” went on their first trip abroad to Vietnam to meet their seventh master. Taking a government-issued car sent by their master, they arrived at the Vietnamese Football Association, at which time their seventh master was revealed to be soccer coach Park Hang Seo.

Famous in Korea for being Dutch soccer player Guus Hidink’s coach, Park Hang Seo is currently working in Vietnam as the soccer coach for the national Vietnamese U-23 team and adult team. He is nationally recognized for bringing the U-23 team to the AFC U-23 Asian Cup finals.

The members and their master got the chance to sit down and talk about how the coach kept morale in the team, his relationship with the team members, picking captains, and more. The members then got to battle it out with 12-year-olds who were training to be a part of the Vietnamese national team on the soccer field.
