JTBC’s “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food” (literal title) has released a making video from the fourth episode.
Sitting around the table in the living room, the six actors look like a real family together. They also added to the familial atmosphere by joking around during the rehearsal.
While filming another scene where Son Ye Jin and Jung Hae In finally have a moment to themselves in the kitchen, the director instructed the actors, “If you came to the kitchen empty-handed and talk to her, then you should take some beer back with you.”
Jung Hae In took his advice, sweetly whispered in Son Ye Jin’s ear and told her to smile prettily as she always does, then walked away with two cans of beer and a big smile on his face. When the director said cut, Son Ye Jin laughed and teased, “You only took two cans?”
Filming resumed with Son Ye Jin becoming angry at the family’s mention of her ex-boyfriend. She also smacked the head of her on-screen brother Wi Ha Joon and apologetically reached out after filming the scene. He reassured her and said, “You can hit me harder.”
Son Ye Jin’s on-screen mom, Gil Hae Yeon, prepared for the next scene by placing a bottle of soju next to her. Jung Hae In looked at her and commented, “I feel like I’m looking at my mom. She’s kind of like this.”
The video also revealed how Gil Hae Yeon, Wi Ha Joon, and Oh Man Seok improvised to create a realistic scene of them hanging out on the couch.
“Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food” airs on Fridays and Saturdays at 11 p.m. KST.
