BTS has won the TIME 100 reader poll!
On April 17, TIME magazine announced that BTS has come in first place on its reader poll, which is part of the creation of their annual list of the top 100 most influential people in the world. BTS won with an impressive 15 percent of the vote!
BTS was followed in the poll by South Korean president Moon Jae In (5 percent of the vote) and Barack Obama (3 percent). Other musicians including Rihanna, Beyoncé, Shawn Mendes and Bruno Mars each received 2 percent of the vote.
TIME magazine’s editors will be using the reader poll in their considerations as they compile their ultimate list of the top 100 most influential people this year. The list is due out on April 19.
It was also announced on April 17 that BTS has been nominated for the Top Social Artist Award at the Billboard Music Awards. The group is currently preparing for a comeback with their new full album “Love Yourself: Tear.”
