2PM’s Junho Thanks Fans As He Tops Oricon’s Weekly Album Chart For The First Time

Having released at least one Japanese solo mini album every year, Junho has marked another achievement in his career!

After it dropped on July 11, Junho’s latest Japanese mini album “Imagination” (literal translation) has reached an estimated 41,000 units in sales during its first week of release. Subsequently, it has come in at No. 1 on Oricon’s weekly album chart, dated July 17.

This is the very first time that Junho has marked first on one of Oricon’s weekly charts since he made his Japanese solo debut in 2013. His 2014 mini album “FEEL” and last year’s “2017 S/S” had previously achieved second place on Oricon’s weekly album chart, the highest ranking Junho ever achieved on this chart until this week. He is also the first 2PM member to place first on one of Oricon’s weekly charts with a solo release.

He thanked fans through Instagram, saying, “I have finally achieved my dream!”

Junho is currently in the middle of his 2018 solo tour “FLASHLIGHT,” which is set to conclude on September 5.

Congratulations to Junho! Check out his music video below:
