tvN's Hit Drama 'Signal' To Have Japanese Remake

tvN’s hit drama “Signal” is set to have a Japanese remake!

According to a source from Studio Dragon on February 1, “Following an agreement with the drama’s production company A Story, the rights to remake ‘Signal’ have been sold to Kansai TV.”

The Japanese remake of “Signal” will be produced by Kansai TV and will begin airing on Fuji TV in April. Actor Kentaro Sakaguchi has already been confirmed to appear in the remake. He will be playing the Japanese counterpart to criminal profiler Park Hae Young, played by Lee Je Hoon in the original Korean version.

tvN’s “Signal” first aired in Japan through a special broadcast of the first two episodes in September 2016, with the entire series being aired in October. The drama follows the story of a veteran detective in 1989 communicating with a criminal profiler in 2015 through a two-way radio and solving crimes together.
