“While You Were Sleeping” is a very fantastical drama woven into a modern world setting: three people — a reporter, a lawyer, and a police officer — find they have the ability to foretell the future through their dreams, and only they have the power to change it. The relationship between the first two characters, Jae Chan and Hong Joo (respectively played by Lee Jong Suk and Suzy), is a very romantic one as they fight to protect each other and fall in love even as timelines change around them.

5. My Secret Romance
“My Secret Romance” is an atypical K-drama in that it serves up a bold plot than usual in K-drama land: Yoo Mi (Song Ji Eun) is a young woman who, taken by chaebol Jin Wook’s (Sung Hoon) charm, has a one night stand and then disappears in embarrassment before her partner wakes up the next morning, Cinderella style. The hijinks and sexual tension which occur when the two bump into each other only a few years later makes it a fun and cute watch to enjoy on date night.

6. My Love From the Star
“My Love From the Star” is an older but classic drama to watch if you’re looking for a show with equal parts romance and comedy. Starring major actors Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun, “My Love From the Star” centers around a stranded, centuries old alien (Kim SooHyun) who falls in love with a celebrity actress (Jun Ji Hyun) who happens to look exactly like the girl that sacrificed herself for him many years ago. If you’re looking for a show which features the kind of love that blocks the whole world out, then the romance between Song Yi and Min Joon in “My Love From the Star” is definitely for you.

7. I Am Not A Robot
“I Am Not A Robot” is definitely a quirky and fun show to watch if you and your significant other are looking for a night full of laughter. The show begins when a humanoid robot “Aji 3” breaks down, preventing its developer from sending it as scheduled to the home of the company’s largest shareholder. In desperation, the developer calls his ex-girlfriend, Jia, and asks her to pretend to be the robot and take its place temporarily in exchange for monetary compensation. Jia’s acceptance leaves to a whirlwind of mistakes, hilarious comedy, and unexpected romance.
