"Where Stars Land" And "100 Days My Prince" Fight For Ratings Top Spot + Final Ratings For "Lovely Horribly"
On October 3, Nielsen Korea released the viewership ratings for the TV programs that aired the night before.
Among the Monday-Tuesday night dramas, SBS’s “Where Stars Land” and tvN’s “100 Days My Prince” fought for the top spot.
“Where Stars Land” had the highest viewership ratings among the public broadcast channel dramas in its time slot, including MBC’s “Bad Papa” and KBS’s “Lovely Horribly.” “Where Stars Land” got viewership ratings of 6.3 (Part 1) and 8.6 (Part 2) percent nationwide and increased its ratings by 1.4 percent from last episode. The highest rated moment, which took place at 10:53 p.m. KST, went as high as 11.3 percent.
“Bad Papa” came in second with 3.4 and 4.0 percent, while “Lovely Horribly” closed out its run with 2.9 and 3.3 percent for its final episode. The KBS drama had some ups and downs in terms of ratings, scoring as high as 6.2 percent (Episode 10) but dropping as low as 1 percent during the Chuseok holidays. Stepping into its time slot next week is Cha Tae Hyun and Bae Doona‘s “Matrimonial Chaos.”
Meanwhile, Jang Hyuk’s “Bad Papa” has seen its ratings increase as good word-of-mouth continues to spread about the drama.
However, tvN’s “100 Days My Prince” got the highest viewership ratings of all dramas in its time slot, whether on cable or public broadcasting channel. Across all paid platforms, including cable, satellite, and IPTV, the October 2 episode got average ratings of 9.2 percent and a peak of 10.6 percent. It also got 5.1 and 6.0 percent among the target audience of 20-49-year-olds and set a new personal record.
Although it should be noted that the system by which cable ratings and public broadcasting channel ratings are aggregated are slightly different, “100 Days My Prince” continues to show an impressive percentage of ratings for a cable drama.
