Park Hae Mi's Husband Apologizes For Drunk Driving Incident

On October 4, Park Hae Mi’s husband Hwang Min went to the Uijeongbu District Court for a pre-trial release hearing. He was investigated for the car accident that he is responsible for.

Last month, Hwang Min drove a car into a 25-ton truck that was parked on the side of the road. As a result, two passengers died at the scene. Hwang Min, the other two passengers, and the driver of the truck sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital. The passengers who lost their lives were Park Hae Mi’s juniors, musical actor A (20) and musical director B (33). Following the news reports about the accident, she suspended all of her activities.

Her husband Hwang Min said, “It’s all my fault. It’s my fault that I was under the influence. I am sorry to the families of the deceased for taking two innocent lives.”

He also mentioned his wife Park Hae Mi, saying, “I haven’t seen my wife after the accident. She wouldn’t let me come in to our house. I heard about her statement through her lawyer. I made some phone calls with the lawyer and that’s all. I don’t know what to say. I will conform with whatever the court decides.”

Park Hae Mi suspended all of her activities after the accident. She stopped acting in the musical “Oh! Carol,” but returned to the stage after announcing that she will donate all of her performance fees.

Whether or not Hwang Min will be arrested will be announced after the investigation today.
