Uee Jokes About Her Dad Being Jealous Of On-Screen Father Choi Soo Jong

Hit weekend drama “My Only One” co-stars Uee and Choi Soo Jong appeared as guests on the April 13 episode of JTBC’s “Ask Us Anything,” where they shared a story about Uee’s father Kim Sung Gap, who is a professional baseball coach.

Uee shared that Choi Soo Jong, who plays her father in “My Only One,” sent her mother a video message to congratulate her on birthday. Choi Soo Jong then stated, “I think coach Kim Sung Gap is jealous. He agreed to gift me a jacket and baseball bat if he won, but he still hasn’t given them to me.”

Uee also expressed her opinion on her father’s jealousy, saying “I think my dad is jealous because my mom likes Choi Soo Jong so much.”

The pair further showcased their father-daughter relationship. Choi Soo Jong began dancing in order to liven up the atmosphere, and Uee stated “I saw this a lot on set too.”

Choi Soo Jong also praised Uee’s acting skills, saying “I realized Uee’s acting went above and beyond after seeing it in person. Just her ability to get into character is different.”

They also spoke about their first meeting. Uee explained, “Someone was standing in front of me at the drama meeting wearing a t-shirt and jeans, who turned out to be Choi Soo Jong. He was so good-looking that I was too nervous to even lift my head.” Continuously proving how close they are, she also stated, “We spent the last eight months as if he were really my father, and I was really his daughter.”
