Many Korean TV shows and dramas were recognized by the 52nd Annual WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival!

The WorldFest-Houston International Film & Video Festival is an independent film and video festival that was established in 1961 by film director Hunter Todd. Along with WorldFest-San Francisco and WorldFest-New York, it’s the oldest international festival in North America that recognizes and honors outstanding excellence in film and video.

MBC’s “Partners for Justice” received a Gold Remi Award for the TV Drama series category. This 2018 investigative drama, starring leads Jung Jae Young, Jung Yu Mi, and Oh Man Seok, received lots of praise and attention during its run.

About the award, director No Do Chul said, “It’s an honor to receive a big award at this film festival with a special genre of a Korean crime investigative drama. This would not have been possible without the viewers’ support. I’m working hard to film ‘Partners for Justice 2,’ which will air in June, so please look forward to it.”

“Partners for Justice 2,” starring leads No Min Woo and Kang Seung Hyun, will air as the follow-up to “Special Labor Inspector, Mr. Jo.”

Other winners include SBS’s “Return” and “Witch’s Court,” which received the Gold Remi Awards, KBS’s “Marry Me Now,” receiving the Silver Remi Award, and SBS’s “Law of the Jungle in Antarctica,” which won the Platinum Remi Award.
