Movie "Long Live The King" To Take Strong Action Against Illegal Leaks

The production company of “Long Live the King” has decided to take a firm approach as it is suffering copyright infringement caused by illegal online leaks.

On July 12, the production company stated, “Illegal online leaks are causing serious copyright damage. We decided to take strong legal action against this.”

“Long Live the King” launched the theater-simultaneous VOD service on July 10. According to the production company, as soon as the VOD service was launched, videos of the film began to be illegally uploaded to social media, YouTube and illegal download sites at home and abroad.

The production company added, “Stressing that all acts that illegally post, distribute, leak, share, or download the movie’s main footage without permission are serious offenses, we will take tough legal action against any illegal downloading.” They emphasized, “We will continue to monitor illegal download routes and ask the police cyber investigation team to investigate copyright violations and damages. We will continue to take legal action against illegal dissemination and hold them accountable to the end without leniency.”

“Long Live the King” is about mob chief Jang Se Chool (Kim Rae Won) who lives in the South Korean city of Mokpo, where he earns a living by bullying residents and business owners.
