Ryu Jun Yeol’s new film “The Battle: Roar to Victory” has achieved another impressive feat!

On August 11 at 8:42 p.m. KST, “The Battle: Roar to Victory” officially surpassed 2 million moviegoers, meaning that it took the film just five days to reach the milestone. Notably, the film had just reached 1 million moviegoers the day before, on August 10.

The new war movie is based on the 1920 Battle of Bongodong, a confrontation between Korean independence fighters and Japanese forces during the Japanese occupation of Korea.

So far, “The Battle: Roar to Victory” is reaching box office milestones at a faster pace than previous hit films such as “The Attorney,” which achieved 1 million moviegoers in six days, and “Ode to My Father,” which took eight days. “The Battle: Roar to Victory” also has a high score of 96 percent on CGV’s Golden Egg Index and a score of 9.3 on Lotte Cinema’s ratings.

Stars Ryu Jun Yeol, Yoo Hae Jin, Jo Woo Jin, Choi Yoo Hwa, Sung Yoo Bin, and Lee Jae In, along with director Won Shin Yeon, celebrated their latest achievement with a group photo. They held up banners that read, “Go 2 million,” “Let’s go to 3 million,” “Cheers to 2 million moviegoers,” and “Thank you.”

Congratulations to the cast and crew of “The Battle: Roar to Victory”!
