Celebrity Animal Lovers Who Adopted Their Pets
Despite the many pets who are abandoned and have no choice but to wander without a home, some of the lucky ones are adopted by a helpful passerby. Even amidst their busy schedules, many celebrities also adopt pets into their families.
Here are a couple of additional celebrities who provided both a loving home and second chance at life for their pets!
Sung Hoon

On September 22, Sung Hoon revealed that he had adopted a dog! The dog Yangyi was on the brink of death with measles, but was able to receive treatment once rescued. With the help of guardian Sung Hoon, Yangyi was able to get to the hospital and finish receiving treatment. Following his journey as Yangyi’s guardian, Sung Hoon decided to adopt the dog and become a family.
Beenzino
The rapper and his girlfriend, model Stefanie Michova, adopted a dog this past summer. Kkomi was pregnant with three puppies and awaiting to be euthanized when she was rescued. Although all her puppies were adopted, it took awhile before Kkomi finally found her new home with Beenzino and Stefanie.
Hyuna
Back in 2013, Hyuna adopted a dog she found at Cheonggyecheon. Hyuna is known for her love for animals and has done photo shoots for adoption campaigns where she donated all the proceeds to an animal protection organization. Her and her dog Arang have also made an appearance on SBS’s “Animal Farm.”

The known cat-lover previously showed his life at home living with four cats Koongyi, Mongyi, Ddomi, and Somi on an episode of “I Live Alone,” before Somi sadly passed away earlier this year. Following his appearance, he has made many follow up comments on the adoption process, emphasizing the extent of responsibility required to look after pets.
Hyolyn
Hyolyn is another star to have revealed her life with cats on “I Live Alone.” During her appearance, she revealed that she moved out of her dorm for sake of her cats and then adopted more cats so that they wouldn’t be lonely. She is known for her love of animals and has frequently volunteered at animal shelters. She’s even participated in photo shoots for Allure and InStyle with some of her cats!

Taecyeon adopted his dog Eddie after the conclusion of filming for “Three Meals a Day” in 2015. Eddie’s mom Minky was the original mascot of the show and had a particular connection with Taecyeon. More recently, Taecyeon made a brief appearance on “The Return to Superman” where he visited Lee Bum Soo’s house. He dropped off his dog for the kids to play with, when viewers recognized that it was Eddie.
