Kangnam And Lee Sang Hwa Reveal Stories From Their Wedding

Kangnam and Lee Sang Hwa shared footage from their wedding ceremony on SBS’s “Same Bed Different Dreams 2 — You Are My Destiny”!

On the November 4 episode, the couple gave viewers exclusive access to their wedding day including surprises Kangnam planned for his wife before the ceremony.

During the wedding, video messages played onscreen from Lee Sang Hwa’s various friends around the globe. The screen then went black and the venue’s staff members rushed onto the stage as guests began to murmur.

The venue’s staff members turned out to be dancers who were hired by Kangnam for his surprise performance. The dancers filled the stage and floor, and Kangnam stepped out in front to show off his in-sync choreography. Lee Sang Hwa was surprised but delighted, and she cheered on her husband. He then showcased his “speed skating” dance as an homage to his wife’s Olympic career, and she was moved to tears as he got down on bended knee in front of her.

They began the next chapter of their life together with blessings from loved ones, and said that it was “a promise with myself for a new life.”

After the wedding, the couple unwinded with champagne. Kangnam likened the wedding to a gold medal, and Lee Sang Hwa said, “It feels different. A gold medal feels like I own the world whereas a wedding feels like I’ve become the center of the universe. This is a day for us. It’s a really happy day.”

Speaking about their family plans, Kangnam asked, “Should we have [babies] in two years?” and asked how many kids she wanted to have. Lee Sang Hwa replied one, and then thought hard. Kangnam added, “My older friends told me to hurry up and have kids.”

The couple relaxed after the ceremony and enjoyed their first night as a married couple.
