SEVENTEEN Shares Thoughts On Actors' Reactions To Their Blue Dragon Film Awards Performance

After tearing up the stage at the 40th Blue Dragon Film Awards, SEVENTEEN has shared their thoughts on the attendees’ enthusiastic response to their performance!

On November 21, SEVENTEEN took the stage at the annual award ceremony to perform an exciting medley of their songs “HIT” and “Very Nice.” The actors in the audience visibly enjoyed their congratulatory performance, with several of them even dancing along to the songs from their seats.

By the end of the performance, all of the actors in attendance had risen to their feet to give SEVENTEEN a standing ovation—reportedly marking the first time in Blue Dragon Film Awards history that every single actor at the ceremony was standing during a congratulatory performance.

After the awards show, SEVENTEEN humbly remarked, “We were extremely nervous, so we were really happy that [the actors] cheered for us and responded positively, and it made us even more excited while performing. It’s an honor that we were able to congratulate [the actors] at such a meaningful event, and we’re grateful to them for standing and having fun together with us.”

At one point during their performance, SEVENTEEN played off Ryu Seung Ryong’s famous line from his record-breaking film “Extreme Job” by joking, “There’s never been a congratulatory performance like this before!” (The original line from the movie is “There’s never been a taste like this like this before.”)

When asked about why they had decided to reference the film, the SEVENTEEN members explained, “We really enjoyed the movie ‘Extreme Job,’ and we were happy to hear that the film and its actors had been nominated [for awards]. So we decided to change Ryu Seung Ryong’s iconic line ‘There’s never been a taste like this before’ a little. We really hoped that they would enjoy it, so we were really happy that lots of people were cheering for us.”

They added, “Since we were taking part in such a meaningful ceremony with such amazing actors, we wanted to present a suitably fun and entertaining performance. So we discussed it a lot amongst ourselves. We hoped that our feelings would be properly conveyed to [the actors].”
