Jung Joon Ho's Agency Denies Actor's Involvement In Illegal Resort Operations

Representatives from Jung Joon Ho’s agency are currently looking into accusations that the actor illegally operated a resort without a permit.

On December 2, SBS’s “8 O’Clock News” aired a report surrounding a resort in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. According to the report, the luxury resort originally opened as a multi-house complex with a sports facility permit, but then changed its operations to include tourism and hospitality services. The report claimed that an honorary ambassador for Chuncheon, also a popular actor, was involved in the construction and operation of this resort.

After looking into the matter, STX Lionheart, the company under which Jung Joon Ho is housed, released a statement denying Jung Joon Ho’s involvement. The full statement from the company reads as follows:

Hello, this is STX Lionheart.

On December 2, SBS’s ‘8 O’Clock News’ released a report which involved actor Jung Joon Ho.

After being cast in the movie ‘Sandglass,’ Jung Joon Ho has been honored with the role of honorary ambassador for the city of Chuncheon.

Jung Joon Ho accepted this role at the city’s request. However, he is not involved in the management or operations of the location in question, which is currently scheduled for use of the filming for ‘Sandglass.’ Furthermore, we firmly state that Jung Joon Ho has no relation to the accusations.

We sincerely apologize for not better monitoring Jung Joon Ho’s reputation as a public figure, and moving forward, Jung Joon Ho has no plans to participate in any manner with regards to the operation of this location.

Additionally, we will pursue legal action against any persons who continue to spread false rumors about the actor.

Since the rumors first broke out, neither the resort nor SBS has made any further statement on the matter.
