Lee Dong Wook And Jo Bo Ah Confirmed To Lead New tvN Fantasy Drama

Lee Dong Wook and Jo Bo Ah will be uniting for a new drama!

On December 26, it was confirmed that the actors will be starring in “Tale of the Nine Tailed,” which will be the first drama to feature a male gumiho (a mythological nine-tailed fox) in the lead role.

The upcoming drama follows the life of the gumiho Yi Yeon, played by Lee Dong Wook, who once ruled as a living god of the Baekdudaegan Mountain Range but now works as a sort of public official between this world and the underworld. His main job is to clean up the mess left behind by those who disturb the world of the living while hiding behind the guise of ghost tales. He boasts stunning looks, high intelligence, and great athletic abilities, but he has a self-righteous personality and can be violent at times.

Jo Bo Ah is set to play Nam Ji Ah, a producing director (PD) who is producing a program called “Finding Urban Legends.” She may seem like your average director, but her colleagues describe her as a “gutsy woman.” From boldly diving into a religious cult to excitedly entering haunted houses, she is fearless when it comes to getting content for her show. As a result, she has gotten the most requests for an injunction against broadcasting, and her attendance at the media arbitration committee is the highest out of anyone. She is extremely competitive and has a knack for billiards, arcade games, shooting, and more.

“Tale of the Nine Tailed” is scheduled to air in 2020 via tvN. It will be directed by Kang Shin Hyo and written by Han Woo Ri, who previously worked together on OCN’s “Children of a Lesser God.”
