3 Reasons To Look Forward To The 2019 KBS Song Festival
The 2019 KBS Song Festival is finally here!
Ahead of tonight’s live broadcast, KBS has teased three reasons viewers should tune in to the annual year-end music show:
1. The star-studded lineup of performers and MCs
This year’s KBS Song Festival boasts a lineup of 24 groups and over 150 K-pop stars, including BTS, TWICE, GOT7, ITZY, MONSTA X, NCT 127, NCT Dream, SEVENTEEN, MAMAMOO, Stray Kids, TXT, The Boyz, NU’EST, Apink, GFRIEND, ASTRO, Oh My Girl, Golden Child, WJSN, N.Flying, EVERGLOW, Chungha, trot singer Song Ga In, and more.
GOT7’s Jinyoung, Red Velvet’s Irene, and “Immortal Songs” MC Shin Dong Yup will also be forming a trio of MCs to host this year’s show.
2. Exciting collaboration performances
Real-life friends Red Velvet’s Joy, GFRIEND’s Yerin, and Apink’s Hayoung will be joining forces for a fun collaboration performance, piquing viewers’ curiosity as to what the three girl group members have in store for tonight.
Additionally, KBS has mysteriously teased that this year’s show will feature other unexpected special performances as well!
3. A special project song that brought together over 150 stars
As previously announced, the 2019 KBS Song Festival will be premiering a special project track co-written by the famous music producer Kim Hyung Suk. The song bears a warm and hopeful message of comfort, and over 150 individuals came together to record and perform it.
The producers of the 2019 KBS Song Festival commented, “From BTS to Song Ga In and TWICE, we are doing everything we can to create a show that people of all ages and entire families can enjoy together. We ask that you show a lot of interest and love for the 2019 KBS Song Festival, which is certain to give viewers happiness at the end of the year.”
