Kim Gun Mo Sues Woman For Defamation After She Accused Him Of Physical Assault

Kim Gun Mo has taken legal action against a woman (hereafter referred to as “A”) who accused him of physical assault.

On January 8, his agency Guneum told SPOTV NEWS, “On January 6, a lawsuit was filed against ‘A’ at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office for violation (defamation) of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.” The Criminal Division has assigned the case and begun reviewing the material.

“A” accused Kim Gun Mo of physical assault on the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute last month. During the broadcast, she said that she was punched many times in the nose, eye, and stomach by Kim Gun Mo when she was working at an adult entertainment establishment in January 2007. She explained that she was unable to report the incident to the police due to intimidation from Kim Gun Mo and the business owner and added she did not want to see Kim Gun Mo on TV.

Garo Sero Institute has also reported on woman “B” and her allegations of sexual harassment by Kim Gun Mo. “B” has since filed a lawsuit against Kim Gun Mo for allegations of sexual assault at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office and attended questioning at the Gangnam Police Station. Kim Gun Mo has denied the allegations and has filed a countersuit for defamation.
