EXO, Red Velvet, IU, BTS, And More Top Gaon Monthly + Weekly Charts

Gaon Chart has revealed its latest monthly and weekly chart rankings!

Monthly Album Chart

EXO topped the physical album chart for the second consecutive month with their sixth studio album “OBSESSION,” which also received an official triple platinum certification this month after selling over 750,000 copies since its release on November 27.

Stray Kids’ latest mini album “Clé : LEVANTER” came in at No. 2 for the month of December, while Red Velvet’s repackaged album “The ReVe Festival: Finale” charted at No. 3—an impressive feat considering that the album was released towards the end of the month, on December 23.

Finally, Park Ji Hoon’s “360” and Kim Jae Hwan’s “Moment” rounded out the top five for December at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively.

Weekly Album Chart

Red Velvet achieved a double crown on the latest Gaon weekly charts, topping both the physical album chart with “The ReVe Festival: Finale” and the digital download chart with their title track “Psycho.”

After debuting at No. 1 last week, “The ReVe Festival: Finale” held onto its spot at the top of the album chart for the week of December 29 to January 4. Stray Kids’ “Clé: LEVANTER” rose to No. 2 this week, followed by BTS’s “Map of the Soul: Persona” at No. 3. MOMOLAND’s “Thumbs Up” debuted at No. 4 on the chart, while BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” shot back up the rankings to claim No. 5 for the week.

Monthly Digital Chart

IU earned a double crown on this month’s Gaon charts after topping both the overall digital chart and the streaming chart for December with “Blueming.”

Noel’s “Late Night” maintained its position at No. 2 on the overall digital chart, followed by Yumdda, Deepflow, Paloalto, The Quiett, and Simon Dominic’s “I’MMA DO” at No. 3. Idina Menzel and AURORA’s “Into the Unknown” (from the soundtrack of “Frozen 2”) came in at No. 4 for the month, while Davichi’s “Dear” rounded out the top five.

Weekly Digital Chart + Streaming Chart

The top five songs on the overall digital chart and the streaming chart were exactly the same this week: Changmo’s “METEOR” held on its spot at No. 1 on both charts, achieving a double crown for the second consecutive week.

Red Velvet’s “Psycho” came in at No. 2 on both charts, followed by Yumdda, Deepflow, Paloalto, The Quiett, and Simon Dominic’s “I’MMA DO” at No. 3; IU’s “Blueming” at No. 4; and Noel’s “Late Night” at No. 5.

Monthly Streaming Chart

IU’s “Blueming” rose to the top of this month’s streaming chart, while Noel’s “Late Night” stayed strong at No. 2. Yumdda, Deepflow, Paloalto, The Quiett, and Simon Dominic’s “I’MMA DO” charted at No. 3, Idina Menzel and AURORA’s “Into the Unknown” at No. 4, and IU’s “Love Poem” at No. 5.

Monthly Download Chart

Baek Yerin’s “Square (2017)” took No. 1 on the digital download chart for December, followed by IU’s “Blueming” at No. 2 and Davichi’s “Dear” at No. 3. Idina Menzel and AURORA’s “Into the Unknown” came in at No. 4 for the month, with Yumdda, Deepflow, Paloalto, The Quiett, and Simon Dominic’s “I’MMA DO” at No. 5.

Weekly Download Chart

Red Velvet’s “Psycho” remained No. 1 on the digital download chart this week, with Changmo’s “METEOR” and IU’s “Blueming” rising to No. 2 and No. 3 respectively. Davichi’s “Sunset” (from the OST of “Crash Landing on You”) debuted at No. 4, trailed by Yumdda, Deepflow, Paloalto, The Quiett, and Simon Dominic’s “I’MMA DO” at No. 5.

Monthly Social Chart

BTS continued their reign over Gaon’s monthly “Social Chart 2.0” for the sixth consecutive month, followed by Kang Daniel at No. 2 and Park Ji Hoon at No. 3. Stray Kids and EXO rounded out the top five for December at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively.

Weekly Social Chart

BTS also topped the weekly “Social Chart 2.0,” while Yang Joon Il made his debut on the chart at No. 2. Stray Kids rose to No. 3 this week, with MOMOLAND charting at No. 4 and Kim Jae Hwan at No. 5.
