The 56th Daejong Film Awards, originally to be held on February 25, has been postponed due to coronavirus concerns.

February 4, the event organizers said, “Because there is increased concern surrounding the novel coronavirus, we have decided to postpone the award ceremony for the safety of the spectators and artists.” The new date for the ceremony has yet to be revealed.

More events in Korea have been canceled due to concerns about potential spread of the coronavirus.

YG Entertainment has announced that WINNER’s February 8 concert in Singapore and AKMU’s February 8 and 9 concert in Changwon, Korea have been canceled in order to take measures to protect the health of fans and the artists. They apologized to those who had bought tickets and shared plans for full refunds. The agency also stated that it’s possible that there may be changes to other planned concerts.

Kim Woo Seok’s February 22 fan meeting in Seoul has now been postponed, due to the venue canceling all events this month. His agency TOP Media had previously announced that ticketing was postponed for the event due to the coronavirus. The agency will announce a new date and location in the future.

The press conference for Netflix’s new drama “My Holo Love,” planned for February 4, will no longer be held with invited press and will now be streamed online instead. Stars Yoon Hyun Min and Go Sung Hee will be present along with director Lee Sang Yeop and writer Ryu Yong Jae.

tvN’s upcoming drama “The Cursed” has also canceled its February 4 press conference and will be holding a streamed online broadcast instead. Stars Uhm Ji Won, Sung Dong Il, Jo Min Soo, and Jung Ji So and director Kim Yong Wan and writer Yeon Sang Ho will be taking part.
