Jeon Somi And VIXX's Ravi Share Their Attitude To Dating In Public, Marriage, And More

On March 13, MBC held an online press conference for their upcoming dating reality show, “Don’t Be Jealous.”

“Don’t Be Jealous” stars Jang Sung Kyu, Jang Do Yeon, Heo Jae, VIXX’s Ravi, and Jeon Somi as the hosts of a show that follows the real-life love stories of celebrity couples as they go about their everyday lives. The couples on the show include Rainbow’s Jisook and her boyfriend Lee Doo Hee, chef Lee Won Il and “The Manager” PD Kim Yoo Jin, and actress Choi Song Hyun and her boyfriend Lee Jae Han.

Jeon Somi said, “I feel a lot of things [while on the show] and I’m learning a lot. I’m starting to add things to my bucket list. My family and friends watched the first episode and they were shocked to see super-real kiss scenes and skinship shown on TV.”

She added, “Choi Song Hyun and Lee Jae Han went on a spontaneous trip to Jeju Island to go scuba diving, and if I get a boyfriend, I’d like to go on a spontaneous trip like that.”

Jang Sung Kyu asked Jeon Somi and VIXX’s Ravi if they wanted to date publicly after seeing the couples on the show. Ravi replied, “I obviously want to date, but I don’t think my fans want to know about me dating. It’s something about which I would feel sorry to my fans. I think they want me to do the best I can, so I’m working hard at promoting.”

Jeon Somi replied, “I just turned 20, so I decided to give my all in my work. I’m not thinking of dating now.” she added jokingly, “I would like it if the world was a place where people could comfortably date in public, but I don’t think I have to be the one to start that.”

She continued, “My original goal was to get married at 27, but after being on this show, I realized that marriage is not an easy thing. I have pushed back my marriage goal to my early 30s.”
