HyunA And DAWN Praise Each Other's Strengths + Share How They Inspire One Another

In a recent interview and pictorial for Dazed Korea magazine, HyunA and DAWN talked about their love for one another and how they motivate each other as artists.

According to those present on set, the couple kept each other’s spirits high throughout the photo shoot, visibly encouraging one another with positive feedback and energy.

HyunA and DAWN also sang each other’s praises during their interview, with HyunA revealing that she admired her boyfriend’s breadth of knowledge and love of learning.

“Because he studies so many things on his own, including music theory, he possesses a lot more knowledge than I do,” she enthused. “I have a boyfriend whom I can ask about things I don’t know—and who can give me a satisfactory answer. So seeing DAWN always gives me new feelings, and he motivates me.”

DAWN responded with praise of his own, commenting, “HyunA has more artistic sense than I do. I think that the things HyunA likes are the things that people like. When it comes to trends or the current flow of things, I rely on her a great deal.”

Both HyunA and DAWN are passionate about fashion, to the extent that the two often choose to go shopping together for their dates. Explaining his longtime love of vintage clothing, DAWN shared, “I fell in love with buying used clothing when I was a high school student and first started taking an interest in fashion.”

“Back then, I was really interested in clothing, but I didn’t have any money, so I naturally started looking for used items,” he continued. “Now they’ve become a lot more expensive, but even back then, I went to flea markets or places run by the elderly first, rather than thrift stores run by younger people.”
