Watch: Gary Hilariously Tries + Fails To Cut Hao's Hair Himself On "The Return Of Superman"

Although Gary has many talents, hairdressing may not be one of them!

On the April 5 episode of KBS 2TV’s “The Return of Superman,” Gary took his son Hao to a hair salon to get his hair cut. When he removed Hao’s beanie, the hair stylist couldn’t hold back a smile at the unexpectedly choppy state of Hao’s hair.

The show then revealed how Hao’s hair had ended up in its present state: Gary had already tried to give Hao a haircut himself at home. Despite his best efforts, the singer struggled with the endeavor, asking himself out loud, “Did I cut too much? This side isn’t even. What should I do?”

Hao also had little confidence in his dad’s hairdressing abilities, and when Gary finally gave up, he declared, “Let’s go to the hair salon.”

At the salon, Gary asked the hair stylist, “I did a pretty good job, right?” Unable to give him the answer he wanted, the stylist let out a laugh before telling Hao, “This is messy, isn’t it? Uncle will give you a pretty haircut.”

In order to even out Hao’s choppy locks, the hair stylist gave him a close cut using a hair clipper. While watching him get his hair cut, Gary remarked, “He looks even more like a baby now. I was sad because Hao was growing up so fast, but he looks younger [with this haircut].”

Referring to the animated character from the Pixar film “Inside Out,” Hao happily observed, “Now that I cut my hair, I look like Joy!”
