Spoilers

The first round was between Lee Chang Min (on Park Hyun Bin’s team) and Choi Jung Won (on Park Sang Chul’s team). Lee Chang Min performed Park Hyun Bin’s “Shabang Shabang,” while Choi Jung Won performed Park Sang Chul’s “Unconditional,” with Choi Jung Won taking the first win. Forestella then performed Park Hyun Bin’s “Dead Drunk” and beat out Choi Jung Won to take the next win. After that, Purple Rain performed Park Sang Chul’s “Dear Ja Ok” and beat out Forestella to take the next win. Yook Joong Wan Band then performed “Just Trust Me” and beat out Purple Rain.

This meant that both teams were tied 2-2 when K-Tigers Zero appeared as the final performers. K-Tigers Zero is a co-ed group who combine the singing, rapping, and choreography of K-pop with the traditional martial art of Taekwondo.

In the pre-performance interview, the members of K-Tigers Zero showed off their Taekwondo skills and performed some of their own songs.

K-Tigers Zero remade Park Sang Chul’s song “A Man in the Port” and blew everyone away with their ability to sing in the difficult style of trot music while performing synchronized choreography, acrobatic feats, and Taekwondo moves. Their performance also included multiple dance breaks and a rap break.

In the end, K-Tigers Zero took the win over Yook Joong Wan Band. As the final performers, by the usual rules of “Immortal Songs,” this meant they also took the final win on the show. This episode was structured as a team competition, but because the teams were tied when they performed, K-Tigers Zero also brought home the win for Park Sang Chul’s team.

In the final interview, K-Tigers Zero’s lead vocalist, Na Tae Joo, talked about his popularity after his appearance on the hit audition program “Mister Trot,” and the group talked about their desire to make Taekwondo shine brighter around the world. In the end, they performed a remix of their song “Side Kick” and BTS’s song “IDOL.”
