PENTAGON’s Jinho shared a sweet letter with fans after enlisting for mandatory military service on May 11.

His note to PENTAGON’s fans Universe was shared both as a handwritten letter as well as a recorded voice message.

Read his message to fans below:

To my beloved Universe,

At this moment, I’m probably currently adjusting while feeling really awkward, right? I’m not sure if you’re already feeling empty, you’re feeling sad, or you’ve said goodbye to me with a smile while thinking of it as me going away to rest well, but personally I’m really excited! I’ll see, experience, and do new things and I’m leaving to become a person worthy of pride who will protect our country, so don’t be sad.

While I’m gone, be healthy, eat well, and don’t forget me (sniffle). I’ll be back soon so I’m not going to say a sad or long goodbye. I’ll return with good health and courage! All of you are the reason that I sing. I love you the most in the world.
