The unconventional topic of having children without marriage

“Oh My Baby” offers something new with the unconventional theme of having kids without marriage—a topic that has not been covered in Korean dramas until now. The topic will showcase the modern-day situation in which diverse lifestyles are respected. Notably, the plot will be brought to life by popular director Nam Ki Hoon who produced dramas of various genres, such as “Voice 3,” “Beauty Inside,” and “Tunnel.”

Realistic and dramatic development by writer Noh Seon Jae

“Oh My Baby” deals with the work and love of a professional career woman as well as how she deviates from her normal life to try to have her own child. These two contrasting topics will be harmoniously arranged in dramatic yet realistic developments. Writer Noh Seon Jae will use her real experience as a former journalist of a childcare magazine to create a relatable story that reflects women’s practical concerns. The drama will bring up stories based on detailed data surveys on women in their 30s and 40s and center around the office life of those in the editorial department of child magazine “The Baby.”

“Oh My Baby” premieres on May 13 at 10:50 p.m. KST and will be available with English subtitles on Viki.
