Super Junior Talks About Other Celebrities' Interest For

Super Junior raised anticipation for the new season of “SJ Returns!”

Recently, Super Junior announced that they will be launching the long-term project “SJ Returns 4 (for) E.L.F” in order to celebrate the group’s 15th debut anniversary. On May 22, Super Junior held a press conference for “SJ Returns 4” with producing director (PD) Kim Soo Hyun. Eunhyuk did not attend the event due to personal reasons.

During the press conference, PD Kim Soo Hyun shared, “I have been working on broadcast with Super Junior for four years.” She explained that they had decided to produce the long-term project as a gift for E.L.F [Super Junior’s official fan club name]. PD Kim Soo Hyun added, “Since it is a gift, we tried to make what fans wanted to see into a reality. We will greet viewers with diverse content until around January or February of next year. Super Junior will showcase their super chaotic nature to their hearts’ content.”

Kyuhyun shared, “Since this is a variety show we’re doing all together following my return from the military, I’ve received a warm response from fellow celebrities. Changmin‘s reaction was positive. I said, ‘Let’s bring him on ‘SJ Returns.'” Yesung added, “Yunho is also anticipating being on the show.” Siwon revealed that Uee, who he is filming a drama with, also enjoys watching “SJ Returns.”

Furthermore, PD Kim Soo Hyun talked about how she filmed the members. She shared, “First, I just let them be. I think the charm that comes from them acting naturally is greater, so I tend to just watch when the members get energized and create great chemistry. I tell them if they get too extra.”

For the content they wanted to see in the upcoming season, Donghae shared that he thought the episodes in which the members acted as each other’s managers was really interesting. He also revealed, ‘The liar game we played for ‘SJ Returns 4′ was really fun.” Kyuhyun shared, “The housewarming content was really of us going to the other members’ houses to hang out and film, and it was really fun.”

Kyuhyun also gave insight into the secret behind their variety show skills. He explained, “I don’t think we were crazy to begin with. However, as we gradually began to see crazy people, we thought we had to become crazy in order to survive, and I think we’ve all become crazy after spending time together for 15 years. I went crazy about 12 years ago.” He also added in praise for Ryeowook’s variety skills.

Finally, the members talked about their goal of reaching a total of 100 million views. Leeteuk suggested that they release unedited content, but the members said that could become too dangerous.

The new season of “SJ Returns” premiered on May 18 and airs every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 12 p.m. KST through V Live and Naver TV. Watch the teaser for the show here!
