NCT shared their reactions to NCT 127’s latest comeback music video, “Punch!”

“Punch” is the title track off NCT 127’s repackaged album, “Neo Zone: The Final Round,” which was released on May 19. The music video for “Punch” dropped at midnight KST on May 20.

NCT 127’s reaction video begins with the members being impressed from the very first logo appearance, with Taeyong saying, “It looks like a movie” and Jaehyun saying, “It looks like the start of a game.” After seeing Taeyong’s opening pose, Johnny observes, “Isn’t this too risqué?”

Through the rest of the reaction video, the members hype up each other’s parts, comment on each other’s hair color, chaotically talking among themselves, and teasing each other when a member does something particularly unique in the video. At the end, the members talk about the importance of watching the choreography for “Punch” but say that there is more “punching” in the MV itself than in the choreography.

After NCT 127 supported their fellow subunit by reacting to NCT DREAM’s “Ridin'” MV, NCT Dream reciprocated by sharing their own reaction to “Punch.”

NCT DREAM’s reaction video begins with Chenle saying, “I think we could be seeing this before the 127 members. I’m going to spoil everything in the video to Mark.” Like the NCT 127 members, NCT DREAM points out the video game similarities in the “Punch” opening. Like Johnny, Jisung says, “Taeyong’s outfit is too exposed.” The NCT Dream members continue to tease Mark (who is part of NCT 127 and will return to NCT DREAM in their future promotions) by saying, “He got hit a lot. He can’t fight at all.”

The NCT DREAM members also show their careful attentiveness to detail, observing the 127 members’ hair color changes and other changes in their appearance. At the end of the video, Jisung and Jeno talk about how “Kick It” and “Punch” follow similar themes and joke their next video can be called “Headlock.”
