Watch: Lee Hyori Meets Her Big Fan Zico As He Competes Against Kwanghee + Others For Spot In "How Do You Play" Co-Ed Group

Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Hyori, and Rain’s co-ed group is looking to add a new member or two!

On the May 30 episode of MBC’s “How Do You Play,” the trio confirmed their plans to debut as a co-ed group this summer. As they discussed the possibility of recruiting new members, Block B’s Zico, Kwanghee, Simon Dominic, and Code Kunst appeared as guests and potential additions to the group.

Zico and Kwanghee appeared first, with the former confessing that he is a big fan of Lee Hyori. Yoo Jae Suk commented on how surprised he was that Lee Hyori’s participation in Zico’s viral “Any Song” challenge had not been arranged between the two. He also revealed that Zico had cleared his schedule for the day to come see Lee Hyori, and Zico explained, “I first saw her performance at the 2013 Gayo Daejeon. It left such a memorable impression on me.”

Kwanghee then performed a dance cover of Rain’s “GANG,” for which which he practiced so hard that he had a massive bruise on his arm. Although met with praise, Kwanghee hilariously expressed jealousy as Rain later got up to personally teach Zico the dance.

Yoo Jae Suk also asked the younger singers why they thought co-ed groups were not common these days. Zico explained that since they are already so rare, their existence alone makes them unfamiliar and interesting. Kwanghee commented that while many co-ed groups in the past focused on showcasing vocal ability, groups these days paid more attention to their overall vibe.

Since Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Hyori, and Rain are all industry veterans, Lee Hyori asked if they thought their trio was too old. Zico wittily answered, “I think the phrase ‘That’s old’ in itself is old. If you overthink yourself to be old, it may make everything you do appear old.”

Later, Simon Dominic and Code Kunst made appearances as well. The two shocked everyone with their ages as the former revealed he was only two years younger than Rain, while the latter revealed he was younger than Kwanghee.

While discussing the qualities they would bring to the co-ed group, Simon Dominic and Zico began comparing rap today with rap in the past. However, Kwanghee remained silent throughout the conversation, leading Simon Dominic to jokingly ask, “Do you even have a music style you typically do?” Lee Hyori hilariously put an end to all the teasing of Kwanghee by exclaiming, “I feel so bad for him that I want to take him home and protect him.”

Simon Dominic and Code Kunst also went on to stage their remix of “GANG,” which they created in an hour. Code Kunst told a funny story about the creation process, sharing, “I didn’t have much time, so I made it at home. For the first time, I got a call from the house under me. They asked me to stop making the beeping noises.”
