NU'EST's Ren, ASTRO's MJ, 2AM's Jo Kwon, And Shin Joo Hyup Talk About Their Musical "Jamie" + Dance To "Jamie" Songs

NU’EST’s Ren, ASTRO’s MJ, 2AM’s Jo Kwon, and Shin Joo Hyup shared their thoughts on the upcoming musical “Jamie” in the July issue of Vogue!

In the photo shoot, the four stars — who will be playing Jamie in the musical — pulled off suits, patterned tops, and eye-catching accessories, giving off unique and dreamy vibes.

In the accompanying interview, the musical actors talked about preparing for “Jamie” and how they feel ahead of its opening. 2AM’s Jo Kwon said, “‘Jamie’ is my first comeback with a musical since I was discharged from the military. ‘Jamie’ is about loving yourself, and it tells a message about the challenges and hopes in life.”

He continued, “I am very excited to see how my portrayal of Jamie will turn out. Please look forward to it.”

Shin Joo Hyup shared, “‘Jamie’ is a drama that shows the growth of a boy. The portrayals of Jamie by all four of us are so different that we always have fun when we’re practicing.” He then expressed his hopes to show everyone a fun musical.

ASTRO’s MJ also said, “I’m seeing the appeal of the musical genre, which I am trying out for the first time. I’m practicing while focusing on relaying the message of the musical.”

He added, “I look forward to the future, and I hope that ‘Jamie’ can become a meaningful project.”

NU’EST’s Ren said, “I was attracted by the role of Jamie, who is genuine, able to create his own character, and lives the way he wants to. I hope everyone can feel the strength of the story and the energy from the four of us as Jamie.”
