JYP Entertainment Shares News On Legal Action On Behalf Of GOT7 And ITZY

On July 2, JYP Entertainment released statements regarding the legal action they are taking to protect artists GOT7 and ITZY.

The statement regarding GOT7 is as below:

Hello, this is JYP Entertainment. We wish to notify you of updates regarding invasions of our artists’ rights.

Previously, we notified you that we have completed filing our legal complaints to the relevant investigative agencies against those who have violated the rights of our artists.

For a portion of the cases regarding defamation and contempt, we have completed submitting statements through legal representatives, and we clearly expressed once more that we will not be showing leniency through settlements in any case.

For the cases that are still under investigation, we continue to work with our legal team to strengthen our cases through more evidence submissions, and we will pursue all civil and criminal legal action.

Furthermore, we wish to notify you that since our previous legal complaints, we have filed additional legal complaints for other cases.

We will continue to take all legal action necessary to protect the rights, honor, and character of our artists.

The submissions we have received from fans have given us a lot of strength. We sincerely thank you, and hope you will continue to send in your submissions.

We will continue to take action, not only on behalf of our artists, but also for all of the fans who love our artists.

Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.

We are currently in the process of taking legal action with no leniency against slander, malicious rumors, and sexual harassment directed at our artist that lead to defamation and damage to our artists’ character.

We have continued to collect evidence through our own monitoring and submissions from our fans, and along with our legal team, we have filed legal complaints and submitted statements against those who have written malicious posts and comments.

We will continue to take all legal action necessary to protect the rights, honor, and characters of our artists.

We ask for our continued submission, and we will do our best to protect both ITZY and all the fans who love ITZY.
